Shaun loves painting all things coastal and urban – he devotes the majority of his creative attention to plein air painting of character buildings, smaller boats, fishing harbours, urban scenes and fruit & veg!
Qualified as a technical illustrator, Shaun’s career was driven by ‘tight and detailed’ work. But now released from this in retirement, he is developing his ‘looser and impressionistic’ skills – and is also enjoying exploring different mediums, techniques, subjects and art forms.
Having recently held a solo exhibition at the Hatch Gallery in Christchurch, and two pop-up exhibitions with the Otter Artists Society of Wimborne, this has exposed him to a new audience and inspired more involvement with the local, professional art scene. The show saw a number of purchases and new commissions.
Shaun is an active member of Bournemouth Arts Club and Broadstone Arts Society.
