I am thrilled to have been invited to join the recently formed, ‘Otter Artist’s Society‘ – part of the contemporary Otter Gallery in Mill Lane, Wimborne.

‘Minster from East Street’ my submission for Wimborne Plein Air 2024 – which featured the 1930s site of my grandfather’s newsagent shop, HJ Evans – and was purchased on the day 🙂

This collective has been created to unite working artists in Wimborne and surrounding areas, fostering a supportive community in the often solitary nature of the life of an artist. Additionally, the society serves as a professional network for artists.

I first met Katie Bourne-Davies when I participated in the ‘Wimborne Plein Air 2024’ event – and was extremely pleased to have sold my ‘Minster from East Street’ submission on the event day! This event was an Otter Gallery initiative and I was impressed by how dynamic she was with the whole planning process through promoting it worldwide and to the execution of the event on the day.

Indeed, she has many initiatives on the go which are both exciting and inspiring. I am very much looking forward to sharing the journey with this contemporary group of fine artists.
