A perfect day for Urban Sketching – a sunny and busy Salisbury Market Square.

My Urban Sketching group, Urban Sketchers Bournemouth & Poole, travelled to Salisbury, Wiltshire today – and what a gorgeous day it turned out to be! We were blessed with sunshine, relative warmth and a bustling city centre. Salisbury, a medieval city with an abundance of historic buildings and stunning architecture at every turn, is an artist’s dream. I chose to take abench under the autumn sycamore trees around the market square and sketch the façade of Blue Boar Row, contre jour.
